Don't go to any lengths for this--only if you have them handy. The info on the M-60's with the Marines is interesting news! I wonder if they still have them? If that is true that is incredible longevity and a great reference for a piecve of Military equipment that made its mark more than a quarter of a century ago! Check your email. I'm sending you a zip file in pieces since the whole thing is too big to send at once. I've found my cache of Israeli armor images. They include pictures of all 4 Merkava models, M60/Sabra and M48/Tiran tanks along with some of the Centurion/Shot an the M51 Isherman and M50 Super Shermans. Also included are images of various IFVs and engineering vehicles. There are something like 400+ pictures in the file.

Re: The M2 Half Tracks. Yes I did see them in the Lebanon operation. What was even more interesting was seeing the old centurion chasis pressed into serrvice as a troop carrier--much as the Canadians did with the older Ram tanks and Grant Chasis in WW2. There was a lot of space in those old centurions for their age and itseems like quite a lot of troops could fit in them. I also presume they are used as ammunition carriers as well. There was rumour at the time that the turrets had been set into concrete emplacements in the Golan and this would seem to be the type of thing the IDF would do given the theory that nothing is wasted.
I saw some very interesting low-profile carriers which I did not recognize at all at the time during the destruction of Arafats Compound. Now that I have your info I am presuming they are the Merkeva untility variants. But I expect I will also see these on the pictures that are incoming as I write this.

Interesting note, in the latest batch of images the Achzarit is classified as a Heavy Infantry Assault Vehicle and not a engineering vehicle. So your guess is as good as mine.

Whatever it is and whatever it is used for it seemed the Israelis needed it for that raid on the compound. I must imagine though that seating positions will be a bit cramped!
