Magnets for PL or PB unit counters

I am constructing a scale map board of the Mortain battle. Due to the size (66x132) I am constructing the mapboard in the veritcal. I seem to remember AH offering either rolls or strips of magnets the width of PL and PB unit counters just for vertical map board applications. Does anyone have any leads? Does anyone have experience with magnetic unit counters? Any drawbacks? Thanks.

PS I will also construct Eastern Front and North African map boards for the same application. My design will accommodate mapboard interchangeability. Again, thanks!

Can't help you much wit the Avalon Hill strips you mentioned, but you may want to check out school supply and craft and hobby stores for magnets of the type you seek.
