i just bought Crimson Tide. Cross Of Iron, and We Were Soldiers on dvd. I am buying to damn many, however on the plus side my War Movie collection is the most dominating out of my 110 dvds. there are to many dvds i want is part of the problem. i love the added features, and the fact that as long as u dont scratch them they basically last forever. i was sick of my video tapes getting worn out, so i stopped buying them a long time ago. anybody becoming a dvd addict?

I only have about a dozen or less DVDs so far, and no dvd player for the tv. I watch them on my computer.
I have a large collection of over 150 VHS tapes that I have recorded war movies off of tv since 1978 on and many hold more than 1 movie. I preferred to the slow 6 hour speed so I could get as many movies on one tape as I could back then because tapes were still in the $20 each range for blanks.
I'll probably start buying more DVD movies as time goes on to replace my tapes. However some movies I have on tape aren't on DVD as far as I can tell.
Every now and then I take a break and late at night I'll pop one of my tapes in and watch an old war flick.
I just watched "Battleground" with Van Johnson about week ago.
