Last week my wife's Gateway 9500 laptop had a hard-drive failure. Gateway Tech Support suggested we contact Mundo Corp. since we were out of warranty. Wow, are these people good! We had the laptop back in one week, not just repaired but upgraded to the max at a low price that frankly shocked me. I didn't think anyone like this existed any more. They also sell brand new parts and features for any Gateway laptop back to the stone age. Try www.mundo.com, boy will you be surprised.

Hard drives are very cheap now. I've seen 120GB HDs for $119. At wholesale like Mundo sells them they are even cheaper.
My wife had her HD replaced last week after a year by a tech that came to the house. Her computer is having problems with blue screens and we haven't been able to track down the problem so far. The HD was free of charge under our Dell extended service plan.
Unfortunately, the new drive didn't cure the problem. We've wiped her previous drive twice and reinstalled Windows. We're slowly reinstalling thing on the new drive, but the old problem still persists.
I may have Dell take the computer and let them diagnose the whole thing if I can arrange for them to do that.
