If you have a reason please, give an explanation as to why you voted the way you did.
I have been trying to figure out why the board is so dead all the time. I'm tired of personally trying to fire up things with new threads and discussions and am I will not be doing that as much anymore. So unless you all start participating there isn't going to be much of anything new for you to read here from now on.
If you like a game start a thread about it. Bring your friends and talk about it.
Got a military related story or info post it.
Have news about a new scale model or R/C model tell us about it.
Don't have anything specifically related to those topics mentioned above but have some other issue post it in the General Discussion.
I can't make it better if I don't know what you are thinking.

I am one who has a hard time starting a discussion string. I do enjoy posting, but when there is little I am interested in to get involved with, it is hard for me to generate other interest.
It should be obvious that I do post occasionally, but where there is nobody else inputting, I don't just start a topic for the sake of starting one. I am better at replying than starting things.
I am into gaming of all types (but most likely I'll post about PC games), I do enjoy general discussions if the topics are of interest. It is the same with reviews. If the game is of interest to me I will put in my "2 cents", but if not, I don't comment. I also like models, so if I see a particular one I like whether I've built it or not, I'll say something. In general I'm a PC gamer anymore with my limited sight. So, if those topics have new posts, I at least look and of course the voting area or I would be posting here. So, there you have my opinions. Most of all it seems we need more people participating is where the trouble lies.
Sincerely, Phil Walker

I still have a time trying to find which threads have been posted to recently. Case-in-point this thread: I didn't notice it until I saw Phil's reply dated today. Oh I know there's a "latest message" down at the bottom and I do remember to look at that from time to time but not always. I don't know why I have this problem but there it is...ever since you moved PanzerBlitz from Delphi. I'm just not comfortable with proboard's format I guess.

Phil, I appreciate the input. I know it's hard for you to read the small print most of the time so I can appreciate the effort it takes on your part to participate here.
As for starting new threads, they don't have to earth shattering in subject matter. If you tried a game demo you liked tell us about it, see something on tv that was interesting give us a heads up. Have an idea about anything at all I've got room in the General Discussion forum for it. This doesn't mean you have to force yourself to do it, but if at sometime you see somthing or play something or do something where you think to yourself "Hey! That was pretty cool" tell us about it.

The folder icon in the left column of the main Panzerblitz forum page will have a blue dot on it if there is something new there you haven't seen since your last visit. Also the rightmost column will show the date of the last post in that folder. Anything posted on the same day that you visit will be labeled "today" with the time stamp. At the very bottom of the page where the number of members or guests online on the board there is a link that will show you the last 10 active threads on the board. Any new posts with a category folder will have NEW next to its subject title. I would have thought that proboards being so similar to nearly all the other boards currently out there would make it a snap to use. Maybe I can come up with some new icons to make it easier to spot new material.

Well, I do owe you a debt of gratitude Keith! I do like to participate in any new and/or active website/forum. Just I was unaware of how to change the fonts to suit me, so I REALLY thank you for that.
I realize activity and/or news doesn't have to be "earth shattering" either. I have run the old BBS systems in the past so know to get any activity was a major issue to begin with. So, one just has to pick the boards of interest and keep watching. I did forget to mention the general discussion board as I have posted there as well, so it's just a matter of timing. It does go back to my reply of earlier, we NEED MORE PEOPLE participating. Not any one of us alone can keep things going steady, so the more the better. I know of one who I have referred here, but it was her thinking that was a bit too much of a militray theme, so she doesn't really get involved. She did browse the CotN boards, but other than that she avoids this site. Pity as I think there is more than just military theme here, AND it is called "Panzerblitz" which is military, so what can one expect?! My old BBS had a "Rancher" theme and my sports board was called the "Rodeo Arena", so just one needs to interpret what boards are "up their line".
So, I'll continue as always, but it comes down to more people AND activity is what makes this site "go round" Just need to encourage the rest as I am only ONE!
Sincerely, Phil Walekr

Well I'll try using the "10 most recent posts" and see if that helps. Proboards layout just seems a bit chaotic to me though I suppose it's just the way I look at things.

Phil, when I first setup the board it was mostly about playing Steel Panthers, a WWII wargame. However I soon started adding more general topics. I had quite a few people posting on the old Delphi site, but when Delphi wanted to start charging to run my board if I wanted to keep control of it, I said "Adios!"
Despite the overall military theme here, people can talk about almost any game the want. The Children of the Nile section is proof of that.
Tell your friend, that I do not bite. So she doesn't need to uncomfortable here.

I actually find the proboards very similar to most of the other boards that I visit. Each board type has a few specialized features but the overall look between vbulletin type boards and proboards is virtually identical as far as I can see. I much prefer this type of board of the ex-Sierra now-VU Games Web Crossing (WebX) format boards. When you are talking strange, WebX is the E.T. of board formats.
