I noticed in my flyer for pre-Christmas merchandise from Radio Shack that they have a fairly scale looking R/C Tiger tank for sale for $49.95. It looks pretty decent as far as scale goes, except for what looks like a red LED protruding from the main gun muzzle, I suppose, to simulate the main gun firing. If you can live without a flashing red light for simulated gun fire you can remove it and end up with a pretty neat toy for Christmas. Radio-Control Mini Tiger 1Tank

That's a cool little Tiger. I wonder if I could rig it with a .22 cal. barrel that would remotely fire CB caps so I could put a hurt on the gophers and ground squirrels that are tearing-up the paddocks around here. ;D

i saw this at radio shack, it seems fairly cool, but the display one charge was dead, so i could not demo it. i did not think it was worth 50 bucks, but it is built decent, just that u can get all types of rc cars for 50 bucks that are pretty fast, this one is more of a thing to look at . but i would try it at the store before buying for sure.

I'm not into cars as such. I used to work for RS for 12 years as manager. One Christmas we had a R/C Sherman tank of what looks to be about the same size, and I used have some fun in the store during slow times driving over stuff on the counter top. Back then it only cost $39.95. There was a smaller Leopard I tank that I bought just to have at home to play with. I still have it although I added some Bundeswehr markings and a scale MG on the commanders coupola. I'd really like to get one of those 1:6 scale tanks and take that out for a spin in my backyard while I sit on my deck. I'd have to so some fancy talkin with the wife to get her to agree to spending $5000-$6000 for one fully setup.
