This great war movie is out on VHS. and is one of the best American -standup and cheer stories I have ever seen. Only seen on Cable&Dish and produced by Turner Broadcasting, it was probably not seen by the big audience that feature films get, but it is far better than most war movies ever made. Tom Berenger is outstanding as Teddy Roosevelt and my favorite actor Sam Elliot steals the scenes as Capt. Bucky O'Niell. Get this one and you will watch it again and again!!! P.S. I got my copy from http://www.moviesunlimited.com($13.50 plus shipping) This movie shows that the American fighting man has had plenty of guts down through our history. GARY OWEN ;D

Berenger as T.R? I can't picture it. The most convincing T.R. I've seen in the movies so far is Brian Keith in "The Wind and the Lion". "America wants Petticares alive or the Raisuli dead!" ;D

imdb.com/title/tt0118453/it was a really good movie, either was made for tnt or tbs, same difference. The characters are truly alive and vivid and for the most part go together really well. i think all the weapons were authentic including a pair of all things Colt Machine-guns.

i thought T B did a great job for the movie. its been so long since i saw it, i did not realize R LEE Ermey from mail call was on it. i saw it when it was on tv , but they did have it at my local blockbuster, so maybe where some of the rest of the forum readers live they can check it out. rough riders reminded me a lot of the way T.R. is portrayed in this movie, (the wind and the lion) imdb.com/title/tt0073906/
