Thanks for posting this. I love this movie, have seen it countless times, and own a DVD copy. As an ex-Fourth Armored Division Tanker, I was surprised and pleased to read the account of their part in making this movie. The Fourth Armored Division is a WWII legend, and I felt our troops in Germany more than measured up!

it was a great movie i thought, since was only a few actors for most of the movie, i thought they did a good job. the remake of this movie is pretty good as well. i think James Belushi was in it. www.imdb.com/title/tt0114324/

Belushi in Bogart's role! What were they thinking?! I guess they figured "Hey their names both begin with a 'B' so what the hell."

I'm sure the remake pales by comparison with the original. Since the remake was probalby a cable production I never saw it...thankfully.
