I get newsletters and magazines from NASA Techbriefs and saw mention of a online store. This is a magazine aimed at engineers, and CAD designers, etc., which I am not.
I never knew they had a online store, but they do.
My latest edition mentions a space simulator that is on sale at their store:
The first in a new series of space simulation software, LIFTOFF immediately puts you in the driver's seat of the most powerful vehicle ever conceived, the Space Shuttle.
Through multimedia presentations and hands-on simulations, you will learn what it takes to be a NASA Commander and take the Shuttle from Liftoff to Earth orbit! Your success will depend on knowledge gained through the three sections: Space Exploration, Virtual Tour, and Astronaut Training.
* Discover the history of space exploration
* Take a 3D Virtual Tour of the Shuttle
* Astronaut-style training and simulation
Runs on Windows 95 or greater and Macintosh 8.1 or greater
Price: $35.95
Space Simulator Series, Part 1 - LIFTOFF
Looks like they plan on bringing out more in the series. If you ever played Virgin's "Space Shuttle" this may be the sim you have waited for.
If you have a interest or are a space flight fanantic they also offer the following:
SPACEFLIGHT MEMORIAL POLO SHIRT
The Spaceflight Memorial emblem, created to honor the spirit for which 17 astronauts lived and made the ultimate sacrifice, is stitched on a navy polo shirt featuring premium-weight 100% combed cotton pique mesh. The emblem design incorporates key elements from the three U.S. space missions that resulted in the loss of crew and vehicle. Available in adult sizes
S-XXL. $29.95 ($31.95 for XXL). A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Columbia Families Fund.
A SPACE STORY - DVD
NASA astronaut Story Musgrave autographed this amazing DVD, in which he shares his favorite moments from 30 years of space travel and explores questions about the universe and humanity. He horeographs "the dance" aboard the space shuttle Endeavour during the historic STS-61 mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope, describes onboard experiments in zero-G,
and relates the experience of "getting to the window" - the incredible view from space. A must-have for space buffs and collectors! $25.95
