Well this topic may be somewhere already but if so I couldn't locate it, so I'll post here.

Any new city-building sims coming out of Impressions any time soon? I haven't seen much about them lately (with my nose in EQ I could have easily missed the news though).

Yes, Breakaway Games, the people that did Cleopatra for Pharaoh, is working on the new game in the series called Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom. It's a new citybuilder based on ancient China upto the point just before the Mongold invade.
The newest feature added to this part of the series is that of Multiplayer capability. The game is currently in the final stages of beta testing.
My guess is that it may be released sometime next month.

Ah, neat. Thanks for the info. Can I assume that you're one of the Beta Testers again? If so, does it stand up to the quality of the previous games? No doubt I'll be buying it. Problem will be finding the time to play it  . I still haven't gotten into EU2 though I really want to give it a whirl. |
