its WWII RTS, i downloaded the demo and it might be to much for anyone without broadband at 1.8 gigs. But its well worth the look.
You play USA vs Germany. In the demo you can play either side.
The learning curve is a little steep. some of it mimics what close combat had years ago. but its all 3D and looks good. Death animations are top knotch and vehicles get all kinds of damage. They made flames vs tanks useless as machine guns though, dunno why. units can salvage some weapon systems from the enemy if its not destroyed completely as you can kill the crew and not the weapons some times. tanks can lose the gun, or the machinegunner or the engine. The sherman is to tough at times and not tough enough other times. some infantry drop easily and some takes a lot to kill them. the tech tree and managing of resources kinda sucks. i wish they had a set force skirmish mode or something. units getting multiple kills gain promotion to veteran and become better. snipers are very effective. mortars seem useless. Not figured out how to use air strikes even though they keep getting used agnaist me.
