while trying to find info on a upcoming pc game named MIG-21 i came across this page, it has a lot of interesting information. Says the only current aircraft built in more numbers was the hercules c-130. check it out.

I believe that. It seems like everyone and their brothers in the old Soviet sphere of influence flew the Mig-21.

Somewhere in the stack of 30 year old magazines I keep around for reference I have a old issue of "Air International", I think it is, that has a feature story on the MiG-21 "Fishbed". It has more info on that plane than you probably want to know. Very detailed and informative. It has information on the engine changes and various models of that particular design.
