I've been playing CounterStrike since I bought it last year. So far I haven't found a better multi-player game. I'm getting tired of the same old weapons and the same old maps, but I've not found a decent replacement. My favorite weapon would have to be the Krieger (SiG) rifle. That sucker is vicious. I'm a lousy AWPer, so it's a good substitute for the AWP in my case. I played Motor City Online all through the Beta testing stage. That was a good thing... it made me realize paying to play other people online is rather moronic when you have to earn money for everything you use. Firearms don't wear out after three rounds of CounterStrike and you get some cash even if you "g3t 0wn3d!!!".  I really would like to play some multi-player Panzer Commander with someone, but it's age apparently makes that idea a pipe dream. Galland |

You may want to give SWAT 3, and some of the Half-Life Team Fortress online play a shot, or the new demo of Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza.
The demos don't live up to the actual games but they give you an idea.
The Steal Beasts modern tank sim demo is amazing and darn tough. I haven't beaten the thing yet. I've spent hours maneuvering my platoons of M1s and M2s through the terrain and have gotten to a point where I can do a lot of damage to the enemy but demo scenario wants you to do things on a timetable basis which I avoid so I don't score well. It's not a very large download either, only about 20MB IRC, but amazing action.

u may want to give global operations a try. it has some similiarity to CS mainly cuz its part of the same team that worked on beta 6.5 , the pop dog guys. the game is pretty good, there is a downloadable demo out there some where. its almost like cs 2, but not. here are some major differences , there are several classes with plus and minus to each. demo, heavy mg, commando, medic, recon, sniper are the classes . with the commando being the most rounded class. there is a lrage selection of weapons, and one of the new features is u can by add-ons to the weapons. such as lasersighting, scopes, more ammo, lights, all depends on the gun. the major difference on the way the game is played is, u do respawn, however there is a reinforcement truck or chopper and u cant respawn until it arrives. usually 30 seconds. i can go on and on, but u really cant get the feel till u try the demo, only bad thing is there are not as many servers as there are for cs. but the game is a blast. Counter-strike was basically the only game i played till this. as for making cs more fun mappacks and skins help a little, the cs sondition zero should be out any time now
