I'm sure you've all seen it on TV by now. This is the 2nd shuttle that has gone down in my lifetime. The first one blew up on launch and now one has broken up on re-entry.

I wonder how many ordinary Iraqis will appreciate and participate in the freedom we give them upon liberation. It's nice to assume they'll all be good boys once we teach them how to vote, but that isn't always the case. A lifetime of authoritarianism makes personal freedom seem downright scary. Heck- there are still plenty of hardcore commies in Russia. Even the Russians who like freedom don't quite get it. They'll cheer for free speech in one breath and bitch about the government not fixing their kitchen stove in the next. I think we'll have to put them through a process similar to the "denazification" programs offered to the Germans after WW2.

I posted a condolence note over on the SPWW2 group and some guy got all bent out of shape because I was clogging the board because "a few Americans died." He wondered why no mention was made of the 8 Aussies that died in a train wreck a few days ago.
Luckily, all the respondents thus far have chewed his *ass* royally for his calousness.
Amazing how some people's minds work isn't it?
