i sure would have loved one of those as well. i had a chance to buy a working one once, but i was short 400 bucks, so i could not get it. it was at a gunshow, and they were not from my area. it was a 1000 bucks for one MP44 and 6 clips and webgear, they guaranteed everything worked, it did not look as old as it was, man if i ran across it again, i would buy it in a heartbeat. being a conversation piece alone would be worth it.

Are you in New Zealand?

nope fort lauderdale , fl.
this was about 6 years ago, but still that was cheap. They had about 200-300 hundred old WW2 rifles , and they said they really had not had anyone interested in the mp44, and they wanted to get some money back. I dont know the history of the rifle, if it was repaired with other parts or what. But they said they guaranteed it was in perfect working condition.

I've thought about getting a class III toy but all that paperwork gives me the willies. A Mac-10 or Uzi is well within my price range. But giving fingerprints to the feds? No thanks. Not at any price. I can barely stand to fill out a 4473. Galland
