Persian Gulf Deployments

i dont know if its a good idea to have this on CNN website, but there it is, IT lists most of the units called up and what they have, IT lists the call up from the United States, some of the overseas units, and the deployment areas in the gulf. lots of information, in case anyone here has family getting called up, it also had links to some of the units websites.

Not to mention that most dumbass reporters and editors for that matter will put lives at stake for a story. It is terribly irresponsible to pin point where units are deployed. But then again, it might be disinformation....

It's more than likely an attempt to scare the hell out of the Iraqi's and let them know how much force is being brought to bear on them in the event of an attack.

yeah i think it has more to do with them trying to show force. But for them to say where the stealths and command and control centers are gonna be is not smart imho, somethings should not be put out in the open, not only because of Iraq seeing it, but because some of the terrorists may try to hit say the stealth complex,,, even if they dont do a direct attack, a stinger on take off or dropping some mortar shells , may get some of those troops killed, cause of this strategy

I don't think the Iraqi's need the news media to tell them where all that stuff is located. They probably have spies everywhere.

well im sure they could find most of it out, but i rather have them work hard for it.. and they dont have to let all the terrorists know for free,, hopefully nothing bad happens
