The move from Delphi became necessary when they announced that all free forum hosts would lose control of their forums when they implement a new pay forum scheme. Not willing to just walk away from my forum I decided it was time to packup and move. Now all we need is a copy of the Prodigy font. To tell the truth, I don't remember jack squat about Prodigy other than it existed.... time sure does fly. Galland

I never used Prodigy except for access to the message forums and some of the internet back then. It's pretty much how I use AOL too. I'm not interested in their "services" and their gaming messageboards are dead.
The only thing I used specific to AOL is their webspace for my webpages. My wife did volunteer online teacher duty for them for a while and they gave use an extra 20MB of webspace as a result, which I still use or none of my pages would be as extensive as they are now.
It would be nice to have the whole old gang from the SWOTL GROUP active and talking again.

Hello All, I hope you don't mind new members poping up unexpected ;D I came all the way from www.bombs-away.netAs for Progigy, I remember that. It was what I first used to get on the internet using a 300 Baud MODEM on my C=Vic-20 back in 1984. Where does the time go when you spend it all flying Sims ;D

New members are welcome. We need some fresh blood around here anyway. Ah, yes, Prodigy. I didn't join until about 1989, using a 2400 baud modem that I still keep as a emergency spare, along with my other 2400 baud modem, and a 28.8K modem. I left Prodigy like so many others when they came up with their new pricing policy and started charging for online time and messageboard access. Wandered over to a small service call Videotex, based in Texas, for a year then went to Delphi when Videotex just disappeared on us with no warning, didn't like that so I tried AOL and have been on it ever since. I kind of drifted away from flight sims after the introduction of Pacific Air War. Tried my hand at Red Baron 3D a couple years ago but just couldn't stay interested. Been mostly playing land wargames since then, but not lately. I've grown a bit weary of them for now. Don't be a stranger. Feel free to post. We talk about all sorts of combat games and anything to do with the real military.
