Welcome! This is the new home of Panzerblitz, a wargaming and military discussion forum. The move from Delphi became necessary when they announced that all free forum hosts would lose control of their forums when they implement a new pay forum scheme. Not willing to just walk away from my forum I decided it was time to packup and move. I decided on Proboard because it has a lot of nice features and is easy to use once you get the hang of it and it has a more professional appearance than other free board services out there. I hope you all like our new home. Make sure you let your friends know what the new URL is: panzerblitz.proboards9.comKeith Heitmann Panzerblitz Administrator

Okay guys, member #2 here (so remember that ).
The board looks fine now, Keith. I was able to access the different topics and even post a reply (this one). It will be interesting to see how this board develops. And it will also be interesting to play with the icons above the message box.
Only complaint I have so far is that everytime I click to view something or post a message, I have to work past a pop-up ad. Any way to cure that?

Yes, I know about the popup. I am not going to pay or expect anyone to donate $1 to get popup free viewing.
So, here's the "trick", when the first popup appears simply minimize it and leave it on screen. All the new popups will open in the minimized window and be out of the way.
Delphi was getting nearly as bad. They had three popups that would appear at various times and they had similar advertising on the pages themselves. The popups here are just more frequent unless you leave a minimized popup window running.

Keith-
Hidee Ho!!!!!
Loved that special Easter e-card. You've been a naughty boy.....and busy too. Moved, huh?
Well, count me in Keith.
I hope a bunch of the old gurad wanders over.
I'm using a new handle, but it's still the old obnoxious me.

Hi, Barry. Glad you made it over. I posted the change of address early so as to get as much exposure on Delphi before I pull the plug there. I hope the guys make the effort to come over.
Don't forget to pickup your "collar tab" for your avatar image if you want one. See the "Earn your collar tab" post in the General Discussion posts. I thought it would be just a little bit of extra fun to have them. Kind of in keeping with the title of the board.

Well I finally managed to get logged in. For some reason the site seems to take forever to load, and I have a cable modem. Anyway, went with a new user name (was JMC9612).
This must be the fourth site Panzerblitz has been hosted on.
For all who have been wondering why I haven't posted in a while, work has established a new internet access policy. I actually have to log in to use the internet. Not sure if posting to the forums while at work would get me fired or not, so I don't want to chance things (at least not yet).

Hi, Jim. Login when you can.
The board does seem to have periods when it loads slow, but for the most part it has been pretty good.
I had an episode tonight whee I could not get the board to load much beyond the banner. I reset my computer and tried and the board came right up. I've noticed this problem elsewhere on the internet. It seems that my AOL program develops problems for some reason and the browser just takes forever to load any page. A reset clears it up.
I have seen a few complaints o the proboard support board about loading times so I know it's an issue elsewhere also.
Yep, this is the fourth home of Panzerblitz. I would have stayed on Delphi, but I'm not going to pay to do it. I could have leave the fourm there but the I would lose all operational control of the forum that I created and I didn't want to happen. The board would exists as an open discussion forum displaying ads for Delphi and serving their purposes, but I'd have no say in it. So I'll be closing it down in a few days leaving this as the sole operational home of Panzerblitz.

Keith-
I'm not big on collars, tags or the like. Glad to make it over and glad Mr. Chambers has arrived.
Let Jim know that we had a policy change at work also, so I don't post from there anymore either. However, I have checked into anonymous browsing, but since we use a proxy, I'm not sure if that would work. Would the Mad Scientist know?
You better e-mail Redbirdy you're moving, if you can get him away from Everquest.

But you can change it if you want. I was just trying to get the ball rolling. You have two accounts here. Which one do you want to keep? One att.net and one att.com? I think Red Birdy already knows where we are. Now if I could just get some people to start posting here. (This is not a hint.) Using a proxy server might work, but don't ask me how. I can't think of any way that would let you dodge your employer checking up on you posting on messageboards from their server.

Well Redbirdy FINALLY made it I had some trouble getting on...I'd register but not get a password sent to me. It worked this morning though so here I am. Now all I have to do is pry myself away from EQ for few minutes a day to get over here. Easier said than done! Anyway, this new home looks interesting but will take me a bit to get accustomed to everything. Glad you didn't just fold up PanzerBlitz Keith...although I don't drop in as much as I did at one time I would sorely miss not having it around!

I hope I didn't screw it up then (yes, I noticed that the boxes for width and height were filled but I wasn't really paying all that much attention) when I attempted to link to the image from my hometown page on AOL. Uh, perhaps you should check it out and change it back. I'm not really that much into computers, you know. At best, I could be described as knowing enough to be dangerous only to myself.

Check your e-mail. That should get it working right. You'll need to enter that new path I sent you in your profile once you get it straightened out on your end.

I revised my homepage as you suggested and it seems to be working, if that is what I can correctly assume by viewing my last post and seeing the collar tab there. I'll know for sure when I view this post.
Charlie
Yep!! It's there. Thanks, Keith

Sorry, Jim (Redbirdy), I forgot to give you an official welcome to the new site. Glad to see you made it. If you see anyone else from the old site out there let them know where we are.
