Back in the good old days most BBS operators worth their weight in pipe codes used DESQview in concert with QEMM to run multiple nodes. I used it simply so I could login to my system while others used it. Quarterdeck apparently went out of business long ago and now their products are distributed for free. I never got into DESQview/X. A friend of mine tried it out and he hated it. But it was an interesting atttempt at a graphical user interface. Quarterdeck probably could've developed it into an OS, were it not for the iron deathgrip of Microsoft. www.chsoft.com/dv.htmlGalland

Back in the days before the internet became popular I had setup my own dialup BBS for the distribution of Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe modification files, etc. and used Desqview myself so I could let my BBS run while I used my computer for something else. It was pretty neat considering it was all DOS based.
