A company is testing a new way to provide internet boradband service to users. This will allow people that don't have access to cable and DSL to have broadband service.
The next step is going to provide your internet connection through your every day power lines. It's already being tested in Washington D.C. and Cincinnati and the FCC has to give the okay on it before they can go public with it later this year.
They offer 4 tiers of speeds/prices and the slowest speed is rated at about 4 times the speed of a dialup modem.
A small box simply attaches between your computer and the AC outlet in your home and you're hooked up.
Keep your eyes peeled for more info on this new technology as it develops.
