Warner Home Video will be releasing a 4-disc DVD Collector's Edition that will include a music-only track on Sept 13, 2005. The $40 set will be newly remastered and be accompanied by commentary by film historian T.Gene Hatcher, with scene specfic commentary by Charlton Heston; a music-only track; screen tests, vintage newreels; highlights from the 1960 Oscar cerimony, the 1925 silent version; the new documentary "Ben-Hur: The Epic That Changed Cinema"; 1994 documentary "Ben-Hur: The Making of an Epic" hosted by Christopher Plummer; and the 1986 Emmy-nominated documenatry directed by William Wyler with the film maker's last interview. The set will be released with and without Bible study guide.
