Tell us what goodies you got from Santa and family. Any new games, computers, techno stuff?

I had a pretty nice Christmas for an old retired guy that thought he had almost everything. My wife "gave" me my trip to Oshkosh, WI to fly on the B17. Then under the tree I find that she got me the commerative flight jacket that I thought was "too much" to get. Then I discover my 40 vear old son has found me a genuine U.S. Army tank helmet just like I wore for three fun filled years in Germany. I guess he was in a bidding war for some months on E-Bay until he had the winning bid. My daughter gave a Mahongany P51D that looks great in the family room. I hope my wife doesn,t do the "Christmas Story" leg lamp routine. Wives and kids can be kind of nice to have around sometimes. I finished off with a "Seabisquit" DVD(one of my favorites of all time) and Huge CD collection of classic radio shows. A nice end to a great year, SWON was the only big disappointment.

Sounds like you did pretty well. I was sick over Christmas and didn't go out at all. I got the wife a nice bracelet for our anniversary last month and we bought ourselves a new tv for the bedroom so we didn't exchange gifts this year. Although she did get me a set of 5 DVDs I had on my list that she did unofficially give me for Christmas. I watched the last, Von Ryan's Express, Friday night.
The wife rented Seabiscuit, but I'm not much interested. The reason beain I watched the PBS documentary twice and don't really think that the movie measures up. I may watch the re-run of Die Hard tonight instead.
The deafening silence over SWON is ashame. Looks like LucasArts seriously missed the boat this time around. Lots of folks pointing the proverbial finger saying "I told you so" and "You should have listed to all us SWOTL fans." The apparent lack of enthusiasm for SWON is making me hold off on buying it.

My brother gave me a check for $400. But I gave my mom a $399 lens for her new camera. Mom got me a few photography books. They aren't interesting. At least not at this stage in my learning curve. I'm still heavy into the technical aspects of photography and these books are more about technique and photo asthetics.
My father sent me two of his Minolta SRT cameras and a bunch of unusual lenses. It was the best gift aside from getting to spend one last Christmas with my grandfather. He passed away on Feb 02. I could tell he was near the end of his rope during Christmas. Hopefully he's enjoying a well earned bit of eternal slumber.
