No, I haven't tried them yet. I've been busy with the long campaign and only just downloaded them last night. I'll probably be giving them a try soon. I've already played all of the historical battles and beaten most of them save for one or two, so I'll be looking for something new to try.

Well, do keep us informed as to not only what you think, but how they work as well. You must be hooked yourself to have played them all already, but does keep one busy as I am with all my latest.
Speaking of though. Which family/faction are you playing the campaign in? Just curious AND as to why you picked the one you did.
Sincerely, Phil

I'm playing the Julii faction. Who could resist being part of Caesar family? ;D
I presently hold around 54-56 provinces and all of northern europe from Spain in the east to Tribus Sakae at the Caspian Sea in the east and from Hibernia and Britannia in the north to Northern Italy, and Macedonia in the south, including the small island of the Med and Carthage and Thapsus in north Africa.
Here's a old world map from last week before I expanded fully the east:
The entire upper area of the map is now Julii red.

Eh, there is a link at the bottom of each post for the expasions sets.
I finally tried to install them last night. I followed the included instructions to the letter, and all seemed to go well, but when I opened the Historical Battles menu they weren't listed.
I've got an email on its way to the author as of last night, so far no reply.

The way I understand it the Julii faction is the hardest to play. The Brutii the easiest, with the Scipii in the middle. What the specific differences are I don't know for certain.

OK, there may not be any other differences as difficulty is enough is my guess. Thanks for the input as always!
Nice logo too! Where did you get it?!
Sincerely, Phil

I borrowed the eagle from Praetorians. I used to use it on the Legion or RTW MB.

I guess the difficulty has to do with the staring locations of each faction and the enemies you must face first. For the Julii, you face the Gauls right away, which can be a problem if you aren't a good general. The Scipii seem to have to rely more on a navy to get them about the map since they start down on the toe of Italy's boot and they face off against the Greek cities on Sicily early on.
The Brutii can use their free passage from the initial alliance with the other Roman factions to move troops over into Greece and Macedonia by land and don't need as large of a navy.
The Julii can pretty much do without a navy for the most part but it helps for those blockade missions the Senat gives you. Essentially you can conquer pretty much the entire upper half of the map and the majority of territory by land.
