The hyper-realistic tank sim "Steel Beasts" is being used as training material at no less than West Point.

I believe I have read elsewhere that a few other countries are also using it in this capacity.
I'm still playing the demo going on six months and find it extremely challenging and realistic, although the limitations of the current technology make the ground troops somewhat less impressive when they move. However, they prove to be no less deadly with their anti-tank weapons.
The demo is very small for what you get in return. I highly recommend that you download it and give it a try sometime.
