There's a post E3 preview on IGN about CotN. pc.ign.com/articles/521/521373p1.htmlThe article gives up a little more info about the game play itself than we have seen before. Citizens will pretty much take care of themselves. Instead of money, bartering food will be the means of buying supplies and paying taxes. Farmers will try to cheat the government (YOU) when paying their tax assessment of food. Hiring educated people to work as tax collectors for you will ensure a proper collection of the tax. The three major periods of Egypt will be covered by the game, old, middle and new kingdoms. When citizens fall on hard times they will build themselves small shanties where ever they like and you won't have any say in the matter. Too many shanties may lead to a increase if crime. Three day/night cycles equals one game year. Each "day" will be a new season, either planting, flood, or harvest. (No word on how long these day's will actually be in real world time, yet.)
