There is a wealth of Roman based citybuilders coming out this year. We've already seen the release of CDVs Glory of the Roman Empire and the just released CivCity: Rome from 2KGames.
Caesar IV is now set for a September 26 release (according to the ship date now appearing on the Vivendi Universal (Sierra) Games store page for that game.
Atari's Heart of the Roman Empire has been delayed until early 2007, no doubt to revamp the game's graphics to meet the competition.
So which of these are you most likely to get?
I've already ordered CivCity Rome, and will definitely get Caesar IV. I passed on GOTRE and the jury is still out on HOTRE.

;D Not that Keith doesn't know this alreay, but Caesar 4 is the only Rome-based game (not just citybuilder) I'm interested in that I don't already have.
Sincerely, Phil

Caesar IV has been my top priority, but the early shots of CivCity Rome looked to be pretty good so I decided to take the plunge. Despite what I've been hearing, I think I'll find something in it that I will probably like and it will kill the time while I wait for the the real show to begin with the release of Caesar IV in late September!

I tend to save my money, Phil. I don't buy a lot of games so when one comes out I really find interesting I can afford it. Hi, CatMajik. Thanks. I hope it gets some use. I put up a section for CotN after it was released, but it doesn't draw many visitors, especially since TM's board is so busy. The top section of the board can be used for any sort of game you want to talk about too. Phil has his Pirates! thread there.

It might work for you Keith, but my income is so minimal I'm lucky to have $10 left a month. I do buy many granted, but also get many more as gifts as that is my main source of recreation save for forums on the net. So, it ain't so easy for me as I also have a quite substancial log of back bills to deal with.
CatMajik, yes many good threads in the upper sections for all types of games. There are actually 4 Pirates threads and the only two I started was in the game tips area and the "Just released" as there is also a patch not so well-known about. Redbirdy gets claim for the others. But feel free to join in on any of them and although late, Welcome to these forums.
Sincerely, Phil
