More "New" Arrivals just the other day. I helped somebody on another furum get his PC tweaked and ready for a new game, and he thought I should receive something in the lines of payment for my help. Of all thins! Yep!!! More new games (although some very old), and one was on my "to get" list of all things. So, I also add these now:
Age of Empires (the original) Caesar 2 AND Rise and Rule (not Fall as this is an OLD Sierra game)
Nice offer and unexpected, but have them all installed as well as glad to have them!!! ;D
Sincerely, Phil

I've got 4 years of freebie games I got for being a moderator on Sierra, but have only played one or two. I have a number of duplicates to give to my nieces and nephews or as backups. 3 copies of Caesar IV, 4 copies of SWAT 4, 3 copies of Great Empires Collection, 4 copies of Jurassic Park: Operatoin Gensis, so on and so on. The only ones I have installed are Caesar III, Pharaoh/Cleopatra, Zeus/Poseidon. Emperor, StarFleet Command 2, CivCity: Rome, Children of the Nile and Caesar IV. The only ones I'm playing at all are Caesar IV, CotN, and StarFleet Command 2.

CheersI beta tested LORDS III but never played the final release version. It was okay, but not of interest to me. I don't know why I ever requested Lord of the Rings. I guess nothing else was available or of interest when I did. I figured I could give it to one of my sister's kids. I've never read the books nor seen the movies. The entire premise of the story doesn't interest me at all. I have no interest in stories or games that involve magic, wizards, elves, dragons, etc.

In that case i understand you!
For years, those things didn't interest me and when my cousins finally convinced me to read the book "Lords of the rings" i found that i couldn't stop reading it. But apart from Lord of the rings, i am not very fond of that subject either. There are only a couple of games i like:
- War of the Ring and Battle for Middlearth 1 (Because they follow the story). - Rising Kingdoms as it's from one of my fav companies
As i was very sceptic about the book myself, i'd recommend to give it a try, especially if you like medieval stories

Medieval europe isn't one of my favorites either. My preferences run more towards ancient civilzations and the 19th and 20th centuries.

Im not playing two many things at the moment. Looking forward to Age of Conan.
I have a bunch lined up to play, Prey, Sniper Elite, IL-2 1946, Riddick, King Kong (xbox360)
Off and on i been playing call of duty 3 and gears of war on the xbox360 I just finished Company of heroes the other week, and while some of its realistic , a lot is not but its a ton of fun regardless. I started Dawn of War dark crusade but never finished it. Still playing Counterstrike and Day of Defeat the most. but looking forward to trying Arma combat operations, and Insurgency and Call of Duty 4. And World in conflict. Anyone who likes RTS and World War 3 type stuff must check that out. Also been playing a little Unreal Tourn2004, and been learning the Unreal engine, made my first level for the Bombing Run game type. off to learn how to fix somethings. And i have close combat cross of iron to try out. I love the other 5 games in that series. Playing Total war 2 as well, and thats pretty good, but some bugs still in it. While most of its europe, is a few other armies in the mix.

I keep all the citybuilders installed, because I need them to check things in save game files if people have a problem while playing them.
I uninstalled CivCity Rome finally. I had not played it in a long time. I uninstalled the WiC Closed Beta when that ended, and I also uninstalled the "Distance Guns Russo-Japanese War" demo that I had played for the past month.
The only game I'm actively playing at the moment is the Star Fleet Command II game. It's an old game, which has a single player or mp mode, but the MP servers don't seem to be working anymore.
The battles are between different types of ships from each factions fleets. Klingon frigates, battle cruisers, etc. vs Federation, Romulan, or one of the other three races in the game. For a game that is as old as it is it's impressive to see, especially when a ship blows up.
You gain rank the ability to buy more powerful ships to do battle with as you win. There are special missions that you have to complete and in the campaign mode you try to dominate the map which is mostly a hex grid of coordinates that you move to for your next mission.
I've been playing many months and have yet to dominate the entire map. I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the game which may have had a glitch, but I find myself defending space docks in grids that are supposed to be controlled by the enemy instead of attacking them. Normally, you get a chance to attack a hostile planet and take control but I have been able to do that for long long long time now.
I've been trying to wipe out one faction for months, but never get a mission that would allow me to do so or take control of one of their grid points. I may eventually call it quits on this campaign and start a new one.

Time for yet another, but small, update. A short time ago, I finally obtained a rather late birthday present (to myself). Yes, a new addition to my ever-growing list. Today I can now add, "Command and Conquer 3; Tiberian Wars" to my list and have already tried and am enjoying it. Enjoy!
Sincerely, Phil

Been awhile since I had anything to offer on this board, but to my amazement I've neglected this thread as I've had a couple of updates that I have not noted. So, I will now. I will now add the following two to my list:
Deadlock 2 AND Rise of Nations (with Expansion)
While not much activity here, at least all who visit know I am and of my liist. Cheers!
Sincerely, Phil

Ive been wanting to try the 2 newer Close Combat games since the name has been sold off to Matrix Games. Close Combat Cross Of Iron, and Close Combat Modern Tactics www.matrixgames.com/games/game.asp?gid=350Other than that i still play Counterstrike Source, Day of Defeat Source, Call of Duty 4. Played Total War 2 for a little bit but seemed buggy to me. A title to avoid at all costs , History Channel Battle for the Pacific. This game is total crap, its very bad to say the least.
