The only games I have currently installed are:
Caesar III - Sierra Pharaoh/Cleopatra - Sierra Zeus Master of Olympus/Poseidon - Sierra Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom - Sierra Swat 3 - Sierra Counter Strike Condition Zero - Sierra B17 Flying Fortress Mighty 8th - Hasbro Jurassic Park Operation Genesis - Universal Interactive
I recently uninstalled the Combat Mission Afrika Korps and Roller Coaster Tycoon demos.
Ive been trying to keep down the load on my hard drive as I have been having some problems and may have to reinstall Windows.
After people demanded that citybuilders should have online play, I'm surprised that more people don't play it online. Personally, I never thought MP for those games was a good idea and I guess deafening silence in the lobby means I was correct.
I have literally stacks and shelves of games here. I just recently received my moderator copies of Lords of the Realm III, Lord of the Rings War of the Ring, Ground Control 2, and a backup copy of Great Empires Collection 2. I've got games that date back to the early 80s, most of which probably won't work on the newer machines of today. I never sell or throw a game out.

Emperor is the first citybuilder that has onliine play. Most people familiar with the game series are used to just playing against the computer. The citybuilder genre is much smaller than those of the FPS and games like Empire Earth so your chances of finding willing players is smaller.
I've tried to encourage online play where I could but it just seems that folks aren't interested enough.

I just don't see what the attraction is, to play a city-building sim online. It seems counter to the genre.
I just recently uninstalled Europa Universalis 2 and Hearts of Iron (both appeared to be having problems with XP). I also uninstalled Railroad Tycoon 3 and Master of Orion 3, which were big disappointments.
My current list of games is...
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 Railroad Tycoon 2 SimCity 4 The Sims Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 Call To Power 2 Civilization 3 NeverWinter Nights EverQuest Diablo 2 Unreal Tournament Pharaoh/Cleopatra Emperor: RotMK Sacred Space Empires 4 Silent Hunter 2 Pacific War (Matrix Games' version 3.2 of the Grigsby classic)
I want to get Zeus/Poseidon back on but have been playing Emperor a lot lately so haven't bothered as yet. Maybe I'll put Caesar 3 back on as well...it's been ages since I've played that.

For the most part I tend to agree. Although the Westwood servers have had some problems and I did want to play almost any game aginst others via the net. I have had problems playing via modem too, so wanted to see what it was like.
I did put up a post in the Emperor forums and have some players now from all over who want to join up with me, so what can I say?! Not my ideal, but at least I DO have someone to play against besides the PC. So, I'm not complaining at least for now. Afterall, I AM learning the game better too, so no complaints!
Sincerely, Phil Walker

True enough, but uninstalling some games is like saying goodbye to an old friend

It's always good to get back to the classics like Caesar III. You'll probably find it a litte bit of a rough go at first because you've been playing Emperor.
If you like The Sims you'll probably like Children of the Nile.

Truer words couldn't be spoken! Although my harddrive is close to full and I have my eye on THREE newer games and it WAS time to remove what isn't being played to make room for what I add. Just a matter or priorities MAYBE when I can afford a new computer I won't have the same problem!
Sincerely, Phil I used to have a similar problem on my old system as my 20GB drive filled up. I've got a 120GB on the current system and have about 80GB of free space. I periodically go through it and delete files and uninstall things I haven't used in a while just as a general rule.
The only thing I have on my hard drive that occupies a large chunk of space is my collection of MP3s. I've got some 11-12GBs worth that I have already backed up to both ZIP disks and to CD-Rs. I like to play my music files alot so I really don't want to remove them from the HD.
I'll usually listen to anywhere between a hand full or a couple dozen a day. As some of you know I like movie soundtracks, which is the bulk of my collection, but I have a few odds and ends including military marches from the U.S service bands and Germany from both the Reich era and the modern era.
I also buy soundtrack CDs of movies I have seen and liked. It's a small collection of just 30 or so CDs, but it's growing. I'll often RIP the CD to MP3s to play on my HD without having to load up the disc in the drive just for convenience sake.

Yes, I only have 20 gigs right now myself. I'm looking at a 120 gig, but money doesn't grow on trees either. Unless of course you've seen one, and let me know where it is!!! LOL
Sincerely, Phil
I don't know what you consider too much, but I saw a 120GB HD for around $100-$120 in the TigerDirect catalog. You can check it out at their website TigerDirect.com.

Yep, Children of the Nile looks interesting and I'll no doubt buy it. I'm sure your right about Caesar 3 being difficult once you're used to Emperor! I still remember all those walkers roaming about and shudder.
Oops, forgot to mention one other program that's currently on my HD: Aide-de-Camp. Great little program that lets you PBEM the old boardgame classics. I haven't done any PBEM though, I like it just because you can set up the game without having to clear off a big table and set up the counters

I am familiar with Aide-de-Camp from HPS. I know one of the guys that works there, Greg "Sturmer" Smith. He used to be part of the SWOTL GROUP, I taught him how to hex edit the aircraft and game files and he got interested enough in programming to take programming courses and ended up over at HPS.
I haven't heard from Greg personally in a number of years however.
